Strawberry Fields

I hope you have been feeling the warmth of summer as it rapidly approaches. After what seems like days and days of rainy cool days this June we were finally blessed with abundant sunshine and warmth this weekend! The last few weeks have been very busy: preparing for and selling at the local famers market, run by Sustainable Nantucket. I will post pictures of our market stand soon. But for now here are some of a recent visit to Bartlett's Farm to pick fresh strawberries! One of my favorite yearly traditions to do with my little guy. I made some lovely sweet and tart rhubarb strawberry preserves available on my Etsy shop (link at top of page). I also want to give a shout out to my beautiful friend and fellow natural mama, Michelle of Dancey Pants Baby, who has some gorgeous posts on her blog, including one about strawberry picking too! Please take look and send her some love. She was one of the lucky mamas to be featured on the Sakura Bloom Sling Diaries (where blogging mamas (and papas too) post about baby wearing in beautiful Sakura Bloom ring slings), and each of her entries is more beautiful than the last!
